My dream of working for myself started long before I ever actually did it. I always tell people, when I realized that I was going to have find something I wanted to do for the rest of my life to make money, I knew I wanted it to be creative. And I knew I wanted it to be something that I started on my own
Never in my wildest dreams did I think that my wedding day would spark that career and open a whole new world of opportunity. After enjoying the planing process more than most and creating a connection with many of my vendors, it opened up an entire new world that I didn’t even know existed. Until you plan a wedding, you don’t truly understand all of the people that play a part in each day. And I really loved that time so I wasn’t ready to step away from the wedding world when our wedding day was over.
Through my connections with my vendors, I tried out a few wedding days, but that wasn’t for me. Vendors are truly super heroes when it comes to a wedding day and the long hours that go into it. But, I wanted to help them. And I wanted to use my strengths from what I had learned in my career so far to do so. And thus it started. I helped a few vendors from my own day with services such as social media, blog writing and Pinterest. Before I knew it, I had an entire list of clients and was broadening my offerings for them.
Throughout this time, client experience has always been my top priority. I want to make sure that they feel paid attention to, have all of the information they need, and are easily able to get paid.
When I first started, I didn’t have a system and quickly realized that that wasn’t going to work if I wanted to deliver the high level of service that my clients deserved. So I set out to find one that worked best for me - working in 3 different systems at one point to see which I liked best. And in the end, it came down to Dubsado.
