How to: Get Your Client Portals Set Up

We are thrilled to launch our client portals on Dubsado this week.  Now not only can you stay organized, but your clients can too.  Having one central location for all jobs related to you and your business will keep life easy.

Set up is SUPER easy and really only takes about 30 seconds, but I just want to show you around and all it can do!

  • About Client Portals - Client portals are based off of the client.  Meaning, if you have more than one job with one client, they will be able to access them all on their one login.  To activate it, you can do so on the JOB page or in the client ADDRESS BOOK.  Once the portal is activated, any form, contract or invoice you send your client will have a link on the document to their client portal.  You can also send your client solely portal information as well.  More details below!  Notice the nice new Portal Tab.  Woo!  Just click PORTAL SETTINGS to get started.
  • Client-Portal-Dubsado
  • Since portals are client based it will redirect you to the client page to complete the activation.  Once there, just click ACTIVATE.

  • Once activated it will provide you with a few more options. -  SEND: This proceeds to the email sending prompt where you can edit an email to send with the portal link. -  VIEW: This is a preview for you of exactly how the portal will look like for them. -  DEACTIVATE: By deactivating the portal it will turn off access for the client to view their portal.  Documents you send them through Dubsado will still be available via the links, just not in the portal. -  PASSWORD OPTION:  The client portal is default "password" protected.  All they need to do is enter their email and they will have access.  If you would like further security to their portal, you can check the "requires password" button and set a password for them.

  • Now your client has their portal information!  This is how it looks for them after logging in! Through the client portal your clients are able to: - View "jobs" they have, date and time. - View emails you have sent them - Edit any of their personal information (it will sync to your end as well) - View all contracts, invoices and questionnaires you send them and fill them out.
  • Here is a video tutorial as well:

Enjoy!  Hope your clients love it as much as we do.
